Problem: When I open a mp3 file it is opened with a unwanted mediaplayer and it cannot be changed in fileassociations.
I have 3 mediaplayers installed amarok, clementine and vlc.
I have opened in systemsettings fileassociations the mp3 setting. In the 'application preference order' field i removed vlc, the preference order is now clementine, amarok only.
The same thing I did for x-mp3. I logged out and logged in. But my mp3 is still opened by vlc, how is this possible ?
You haven't changed the correct file-association You didn't save your changes
?? Works for me.... Amarok was default, changed to vlc and now vlc opens *.mp3
