I haven't found any reference to this in searching on SuSE's site or the suse-e mailing list archives. I'm running SuSE 6.1, and using leafnode v1.9.1 from the distribution cds. (Leafnode is a nntp (usenet) server intended for small sites, where inn would be used for larger sites.) Today (1 Jan), on running the rtin news client, the entire list of available groups were read in as new groups. The -q option (to rtin) disables this client from requesting new groups, but does not address the problem. I traced the problem to code in leafnode's nntpd.c source, in function donewgroups(), then found that the problem had been fixed (and identified as a Y2K fix) in leafnode 1.9.5. A patch for this can be found on the leafnode mailing list, http://www.fredi.de/maillist/msg00771.html. -- Ken Irving Trident Software jkirving@mosquitonet.com -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
