xawtv launcher window

In the options window that pops up when right-clicking xawtv, I noticed one of the choices is "Launcher window." When I click that, nothing happens. I found a few mentions of the xawtv launcher window on Google, but nothing that explained what it is. The man page does not say either. Does anyone know? Thank you.
