I wonder why? What was the problem that needed solving? What's wrong with having Xfce as an official openSUSE desktop option on the User Interface page? The wide choice of desktops is one of openSUSE's strengths.
so is space on the console where the choice is provided. maybe kde3 should be included there also, there may be 3 or 4 people still using it?
This is becoming off-topic, which I don't like, still I can't resist to comment. I think the number of those still using KDE3 or/and TDE is much higher (by magnitudes). Once it would be interesting to make a query or survey regarding this.
