If I use xemacs from the 6.2 distro to bring up a Unix manual page, it brings it up in German! Can I change this so I get the English man pages?
Deinstall lpdmande. But I don't know why xemacs uses this.
It doesn't: I don't have it installed:
% rpm -q lpdmande package lpdmande is not installed
However, it's not just xemacs - the command line does it too. Most of my man pages are in English, but "man man", which is what I happened to enter in xemacs, gives me the German page. I do have a /usr/man/de subdirectory, which is full of German pages, but which is not owned by any package, according to rpm. That /de subdirectory is in my MANPATH, which explains why I am seeing what I am. Quite why it's there I have no idea.
Any ideas on what is going on?
I think Torsten made a small (but significant) typo try ldpmande instead. -- Regards Med venlig hilsen Ole Kofoed Hansen mailto:k01164@ko.sdu.dk ICQ-UIN: 25773325 -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
