before downgrading to 10.3 I'd suggest to try with an older version of Samba instead... It's easier to recompile than to reinstall (theory says) :-)
http://en.openSUSE.org/Samba provides pointers to two software repositories. STABLE = last released Samba version (3.0.30) TESTING = upcoming code (3.2.0) 3.2.0 is expected to be released today. Then STABLE will have 3.2 too. openSUSE 11.0 has Samba 3.2.0rc1 and will get an update to the 3.2.0 release in some days. The openSUSE Samba wiki article also has a pointer to a how to report Smaba bugs. Lars -- Lars Müller [ˈlaː(r)z ˈmʏlɐ] Samba Team SUSE Linux, Maxfeldstraße 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany
