Google has dropped its Linux search facility. That's really annoying because I used it a lot :(
There's some detail at <http://www.seroundtable.com/google-uncle-sam-13518.html>
They dropped what?
I see from the end of the article "specialized search services at google.com/linux"
Now you have got my curiousity. The article quotes a Google rep saying "Today, search quality has advanced tremendously, and based on our analysis we’ve found that in most cases you're better off looking for this kind of specialized information using the regular Google search box"
Since I have not used the /linux one, I have nothing to compare. Can you (Dave) please tell us why you disagree with what the Google rep said?

I have used the Linux search on Goolge a lot and it was a lot better at finding the stuff you are looking for you dont have to whittle it out from the fluff i suppose some of the fluff has made a big back pocket wad so we have to sift thru the fluff .
