Guys, yelp seems completely broken. If I type yelp at the command line I get a 3.8 megabyte string of warnings and then a blank yelp window. No table of contents no nothing. The errors look like this: 22:48 alchemy:~/bugs/gnome> head -n20 yelp-errors.txt (yelp:12478): Yelp-WARNING **: Cannot find dbus bus WARNING: NS_ENSURE_SUCCESS(rv, rv) failed: file Yelper.cpp, line 107 (yelp:12478): Yelp-WARNING **: Yelper initialization failed for 0xa24c40 WARNING: Unknown element Exec: SUSEgreeter -caption "%c" %i %m WARNING: Unknown element Terminal: false WARNING: Unknown element Type: Application WARNING: Unknown element X-KDE-autostart-after: plasma WARNING: Unknown element X-KDE-autostart-condition: SUSEgreeterrc:General:FirstLogin110:true WARNING: Unknown element X-SuSE-Unimportant: true WARNING: Unknown element X-SuSE-translate: true WARNING: Unknown element Encoding: UTF-8 WARNING: Unknown element Version: 1.0 WARNING: Unknown element Type: Application WARNING: Unknown element Terminal: false WARNING: Unknown element Exec: /opt/kde3/bin/ksnapshot WARNING: Unknown element Icon[en_US]: ksnapshot ** what are all the unknown X-KDE messages for? The full errors (bzipped to 505k) can be found here: http://www.3111skyline.com/dl/bugs/gnome/yelp-errors.txt.bz2 I also do get a little error window that says: Unable to load page The requested URI "file:///fakefile#index" is invalid Further in gnome if I click on any help button -- I get KDE4 help. How do I fix help/yelp so when I click on help in gnome I get yelp not kde4 help? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
