It was already suggested to me to use 4.8.3. That's what I use currently. I changed subject accordingly.
4.8.4 is current.
But I heard that KDE 4.8.4 has other issues. I also just upgraded to 4.8.3 just because everybody said that KMail is better in that version. :-/
Anyway - another 2hrs later it was finished but now all the subdirs are also missing and it looks like I have to import each directory from my trusty old SuSE 10.3 KMail. That is tedious and will take ages. I cannot sit in front of KMail and import emails for hours. :-(
Worked here if you do not mix mbox with maildir. Kmail's "home"-format is plain maildir, e.g. not the kmail-folder resource. Sounds strange but it's true nevertheless.
So the new KMail cannot handle a mixture of mbox and maildir? But that is the case in my mailbox and the KMail from SuSE 10.3 happily accepted that. Ok, if KMail cannot do it: what else can I use (except thunderbird) and which mail tool easily imports the 900MB mails and structure from my old trusted SuSE-10.3-KMail? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
