Comment # 8 on bug 924818 from Tomáš Chvátal
This version of openSUSE changed to end-of-life (EOL [1]) status. As such it is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.
If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of openSUSE, or consider the bug still valid, please feel free to reopen this bug against that version, or open a new ticket.
Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed during the lifetime of the release.

Thanks -- that really helped.
Yes, I got a few of them, too. It is certainly discouraging to report a bug, take your time about it, and see no movement in years except closing it when it is too old. In the case of your bug report, however, the comments say that they could not apply the fix. They should have closed the bug longtime ago as "wontfix" or "solved upstream". Which also means that the text of the closure comment is incorrect. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.3 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)
