That's why I said "export". There are three ways of doing this. The quick & easy way is to click on the "Export Directly as PDF" icon on the tool bar. The other way, which gives you more control over the output, is to click on File > Export as PDF. There's also the option of File > Send > Email as PDF. Karen wrote:

That depends. If you want them to be able to edit the document and they have Microsoft Office, you can select one of the Word formats. Or, you could export as PDF and sent that. Just about everyone can read PDFs.
