Is there a way to "skip" a particular version of an update indefinitely until a new version of the package comes out, so that it isn't offered to me in Apper constantly?
Locking packages AFAIK is currently broken in Apper - so don't use Apper, but instead use zypper or YaST. Both of those tools respect the application locks/taboo flags.
