I have been trying to work with SuSE 5.2 off of one cd I got some time back from Cheapbytes. This is a personal challenge, as I am installing it on some computers at
the university, and want to setup as much as possible on my own... Everytime I install it, apparently successfully, the init messages scroll by, as normal, then YAST starts up again with the message "Probably didn't finish configuring, so YAST will start up anyway ; )" then I go into YAST, and it prompts for the installation media, blah
If you install the first time, on console 1 (ALT+F1) the installation routine seems to be finished. But meanwhile there are running some background processes (ALT+F9, if I remember correctly). Since these processes need to be finished before you reboot your machine, yast just doesn't get finished if you reboot too early and starts up again and again... cu Dirk - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
