In firefox, a right click on link should allow one to open that link in a new tab.
When I start firefox it does, but after a while using it, filling in forms, some google searches, that ability seems to go away.
This change in behaviour might be die to the upgrade to 11.2 (but I doubt it), or to FF 3.6 (but I doubt it).
Recent experiences leed me to believe it is related to the ff upgrade. I had major problems displaying certain sites and intermittent problems with bookmarks and mouse clicks. I resolved the problem by moving ~/.mozilla/firefox and opening ff anew creating a new ~/.mozilla/firefox. I then transferred individually old files to the new settings. prefs.js proved to be the problem so I did a diff and altered the new prefs.js to contain the few different parameters that concerned me. Firefox is now operating as expected and even using less cpu cycles. One thing I still miss, I used to keep three or four sessions of ff active at all times but this condition drives up my cpu temperature by 30 degrees F when the system is "idle". I now close ff as defining a "start-up" session will load 3 or 4 sessions so quickly, it's not a problem. Try renaming prefs.js, ff will recreate it. And see if your problems disappear. You can then recover old setting by hand editing and testing that the problems do not return. gud luk -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
