Are preparing for a functioning 12.2 beta1 and would like to transfer my KMail2 data and settings to 12.2. Had a look at the import function but lost my way. For KMail it mentions "Import KMail Maildirs and Folders structure" Where can I find the KMail2 from the 12.1? With the old KMail it was very easy but with the new KMail2 it is mainly guesswork.
What changed? The data, i.e. email is still in folders as well as the calendar etc. Kmail's config is still in KDE's config folder etc.
Systemsettings > Personal Information > Akonadi lists all resources and you can check the paths they point to within your 12.1 installation. That's in fact easier than before, because in pre-akonadi kdepim those paths were not accessible via a GUI but just part of the kmailrc.
In case you are still using the kdepim that came with 12.1 and did not update you might find the local folders not in ~/.local/share/local-mail but ~/.local/share/.local-mail.directory due to the maildir structure.
So all you have to do with a "new" akonadi is point it to the data folders.
Dear Sven, Akonadi at my 12.1 KDE release 504 does not show anything at all. And although I have updated up to today, my local folders are found under ~/.local/share/.local-mail.directory.. Will transfer all KMail2 data to 12.2 beta 1 and see what happens. Will copy things like kmailrc and such direct over the existing new kmail setup.
