Trying to install Leap 15 over prior partitions:

I *thought* I had that set up via expert partitioner, but then I got the message
"Missing device with size equal or bigger than 2 MiB and partition id bios_boot".
Google handed me:
https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/533410-Warning-about-missing-bios...
And this - which is almost *identical* to my situation: https://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/suse-opensuse-60/upgrade-opensuse-l... Seems I should check the bios setup, and if necessary, create a small /something? partition - not mounted, type Bios Boot?
which seems spot on, but not *quite* helpful?
I have the old /boot/efi partition, which I told the partitioner to leave alone, and at 500GB, it is more than big enough. The current 42.3 was the original SuSE install, so I have no recollection of how that partition got there (i.e. if SuSE said to have one, and I accpeted, or if that was there from Windows and I left it alone, having some notion that it was needed, or...?)
Also, do I need to explicitly tell the partitioner to set /boot/efi as a mount point on that old partition?
So, is it that I need to be fussier with the bios boot selection when telling it to boot from the USB drive (with Leap 15 ISO on it), and insist on "UEFI" or do I create some "Bios Boot" partition somewhere, or ignore it all?
Unfortunately, I cannot affort do screw around with this reinstall, as it is on my main/only workstation machine.
