Does anybody has configured a SLED10 w/ LDAP + Samba?
Probably yes because it is, in general, a common configuration. Anyway, the Novell forums on http://support.novell.com/forums/2su3.html may be a better place to ask about SLED10. For instance http://newsportal.novell.com/thread.php?group=novell.support.sled.networkin g

I have such a setup right now. LDAP to authenticate users in my mixed windows/linux network. Samba as PDC to fool Win into a domain, and NFS shares for Linux /home I just followed the guidelines outlined on Novlles pages. http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/feature/17319.html is a start for the Samba part for instance. Yast provides very nice modules for LDAP, NFS and Samba, so start out by exploring some papers from Novell and search google , and use the mailing lists for the blanks you might draw.. Thats how i did it. -- /Rikard ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- email : rikard.j@rikjoh.com web : http://www.rikjoh.com mob: : +46 (0)763 19 76 25 ------------------------ Public PGP fingerprint ---------------------------- < 15 28 DF 78 67 98 B2 16 1F D3 FD C5 59 D4 B6 78 46 1C EE 56 >
