I know, it sounds a bit like a pub with no beer, but.... I've installed VMWare on my OpenSuse 10.2 and it went up like a charm. I have two ethernet cards on the machine, and want to give one to the host and oune to the guest via bridging. Everything is fine and works as expected if I bring the interface up manually via ifconfig eth1 up on the command line. If I issue an ifup eth1 it complains that it can find no configuration for the interface. Is there a canonical way of bringing it up so that it can survive to a restart?
