This happens in the framebuffer too (Ctrl-Alt-F1) but not in the console (Ctrl-Alt-F2). I don't know how to turn this off. Does someone know how to disable this screen saver?
To me it seems as a desktop (widow manager) problem, not a system, so I would try to turn off monitor power management. For default installation you will have to go trough Computer menu (bottom left), click on the "More applications". In the window that opens click on the System and find "Power management". In the "Power Management Preferences" you can change how log display will be active before desktop will put it to sleep. Default is 5 minutes. In general the problem is that application that you use to watch videos is not able to communicate with desktop and turn off power management for duration of the movie. Who is at fault and for which component you should file bug report, application or window manager, is another question, that is impossible to answer without knowing application and its exact version. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
