Unless you absolutely want to keep them...no. If you have a cd burner you could just burn them to cd in case you have to reinstall or something else drastic like that. But other then that they just take up space.
You are saying I don't need to do anything after I update the k_delft package.. synaptic will take care of everything as long as I see the message 'no need to run/already ran mk_initrd'?
