Jono Bacon has been working on some Linux studio (audio) software. I can find out how far he's got if you like. Jono is part of LUGradio in case you didn't know the name. He and others were rather disappointed with the sotware availabel for studio recording so they set about writing their own.
Thanks for the offer, but I suspect that's a little beyond me. I'm just looking for a little home recording :-) I'm sure that Rosegarden or Ardour would be more than sufficient for me, if only I could work out the best way to install them! Otherwise, I'll probably be using my ancient 500 MHz B3 iBook and Mac OSX, with the M-Audio software that comes with my recording hardware...
