Hello all, I am new to the Suse scene after trying out a demo disk a few months ago. I have the system installed and I though set up correctly. However, I am trying to install packages in yast, most recently samba and vmware, I am also trying to find the kernel sources. If it helps, I have run the online update so I think I have the latest versions of most things now. My specific problems are a) when I click 'change installation source' the next window appears containing the message "yast initializing...", then the window draws and then quits silently - every time. b) When I try to install some packages, e.g. samba and click accept, the installation window appears and I can quickly see that it may need data from CD2. Then, with or without CD2 in the drive, the installer quits and sends me back to yast control centre. All I want to do is get samba installed, add package sources and get the kernel headers available so that vmware can install from the RPM I downloaded from vmware. Humbly requesting assistance in my quest to dump doze, Tony Kenny
