Well to be fair there is a big difference between moved and deleted!
I assume that it is done via temporary copy of new directory, then delete of the original - because it can be different partition. It looks a move, but can be done with a copy. To me, I had 'mc' opened on "/var/lib/rpm", ie, current directory of a terminal session, and it disapeared. It said something like current directory does not exist, can not list current directory, error, which is why I said "deleted". Later I found that it was moved. But I write things as I find them, in sequence, as a log of events, which I admit can be confusing :-) - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R.
