So it will be either gimp or darktable. The later was the package I wanted, the other was accidental - once I have an update available, why not get it? :-)
Neither gimp or darktable require anything except gdk-pixbuf that shows up with "|grep gd" in Leap:42.3. If you want something in graphics that now needs libgd3 accept the changes from zypper.
Ok, but I don't know who may want it. Wait, maybe if I try to uninstall it, rpm will complain and say who wants it. I'll reinstall "gd" to make sure I have the corresponding files installed. Maybe it is some program I tried in the past, then removed, that wanted that package.
These are the packages listed as requiring libgd3 in graphics: libgd.so.3()(64bit) fswebcam mscgen libgphoto2-6 gd nut-cgi graphviz-tcl glibc-utils graphviz-gd libm17n0 perl-GD pstoedit vnstat-cgi ghc-gd nginx mrtg fly icinga-www nagios-www webalizer gnuplot texlive-dvipng-bin apcupsd-cgi pcb zimg m17n-lib Maybe one of the above is required by something.
Of that list I have installed: libgphoto2-6-2.5.13-3.1.x86_64 gd-2.1.0-24.1.x86_64 nut-cgi-2.7.4-6.1.x86_64 graphviz-gd-2.38.0-9.3.x86_64 libm17n0-1.6.4-8.5.x86_64 perl-GD-2.56-3.2.x86_64 pstoedit-3.70-5.22.x86_64 mrtg-2.17.4-16.1.x86_64 gnuplot-5.0.0-12.24.x86_64 texlive-dvipng-bin-2016.20160523.svn40473-31.6.x86_64 pcb-20140316-11.2.x86_64 m17n-lib-1.6.4-8.5.x86_64 The rest are not installed. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E.
