Stuart, Sorry i can't help with the YAST2 problem, but to add a new session choice go to preferences, or kcontrol center, i think the commend line is kcontrol, > system > login manager > sessions and add the new window manager towards the bottom of the screen. Q1: having just reinstalled suse 8.0 pro from DVD YAST2 now insists that teh medium I use (ie the same DVD I installed from yesterday!) does not match the version on my computer and aborts. Specifically it says that it is older, and not version 8.0.0. This is patently untrue... If I use the CDs instead it tells me that it is expecting the DVD! any suggestions, as this is really irritating and I would like to be able to solve it!
Q2: adding a new window manager to the KDM menu? how do I do this? I can compile and install but have no idea how to use it!
