I've more or less made it a habit to work on Leap42.1 for at least 2 hours a week. For testing (also my patience). Does anyone have an issue with alt-tab only "sort of" working? Sometimes it is ignored, sometimes I have to try three times.
I tried this here on my lenovo laptop with Leap 42.1 standard edition. I guess there are two first things you can do as here that works perfectly (at least if your aim is to open a kind of sidebar with which you can conveniently change between open applications.
Well, kind of - with Alt-Tab I want a list of my currently open windows to appear in the middle of the screen, which I can navigate up and down with alt-tab and alt-shift-tab. I use the "compact" task-switcher view.
a) you may create a fresh user (if this is a migration)
It is a dedicated Leap42.1 test system.
b) you may try another keyboard or set precisely the keyboard you use in kde (provided you are using KDE).
Yes, I'm using KDE, I should have mentioned that.
c) check if you have attributed in another application that shortcut. I personally would go for a non well working key of the keyboard or for a problem with the cable see the usb hub you are using.
No USB hub involved, it might even be a PS2 keyboard. Hmm, could be hardware, I'll try out some other keyboards.
So: "works for me" here. Maybe you should share a tiny bit more information about you set-up?
Well, not much to say - it's a plain HP desktop machine, with vanilla Leap42.1. It's a plain office config, it should "just work". When alt-tab doesn't work, I sometimes observe the cursor in a console window blinking.
I forgot if this is a very recent install, check if the indexing is still running as that can give for the first day some curious issues with the resources (freezing / hopping cursors, non reactive keyboard.
It was installed when Leap421 was out, then fed a steady stream of updates since. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (24.1°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free dynamic DNS, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
