No, I never deal with the ftp, I always get the "real" thing! ;o) I purchased the update package to do my upgrade, I never depend on the ftp for doing something like this. I like to have what I need available to me should problems arise.
Patrick, (and any others) I have a copy of the 8.1 install (NOT upgrade) Cds. I would like to upgrade my 8.0 box, the problem is that my KDE is running at 3.04-5, and the version that gets installed is 3.0.3. Another problem is that when I tried to upgrade a box at work I lost the ability to update using YOU. (It keeps failing when I try to start the update from ftp or even from a local drive). What would be the best way to do this without blowing up YaST? -- See Ya' Howard Coles Jr. John 3:16!
