Also, the rt2870 and rt2860 drivers were refreshed to the level they are in the Linux 2.6.32 kernel, bringing new device support and new functionality.
I gather yast2 installed this kernel recently as part of an update. Alas, I was using the rt8270 driver for a linksys wireless N card. This device was a bit of a pain to get going (i.e, I've had to set it up manually). With this update, things have gone from a minor inconvenience to a kernel hang. iwconfig doesn't appear to change any settings (like the mode from auto to managed, and the encryption to open, etc). Then, when I tell the card to come up (without encryption), the kernel now hangs. I've reverted back to an older orinco-based card for now. Is there anyone else using this driver and having troubles too?-- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
