Hi, Three problems I'm having with SuSE 5.2:
1) Xboing does not have sound. Sound compiled into the kernel. cat *.au >/dev/audio works as well as xpat2 give sounds. Does anyone use xboing with sound?
2) I have a program which uses ncurses to control where the curser is located in a terminal. Under RedHat it works as expected but under SuSE the display of information to the termianl is not correct. Is there something basically different between the ncurses used in RedHat and SuSE. I've even recompiled the program under SuSE.
3) I run quake2 under both RedHat and SuSE. Does anyone know why the save files from RedHat cannot be used under SuSE and those from SuSE cannot be used by RedHat. I get a seg falt when trying to load a saved game from the other linux distribution.
Thank you for your time.

Well redhat 5.x is glibc, so that may be the reason your save games won't play in a libc5 dist. As for cut and paste in an xterm/rxvt, I think the package is called xcb. And sound generally works better as a module. -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
