I know two possibilities.
always star a backup system from the recovery possible. dd (piped by gzip) is one of the only way I know, provided I have an exact or very similar hardware, which is never the case...

Yes, which is why we need a method to create an empty btrfs filesystem, create the volumes and subvolumes, and rsync the files back. Lastly, install the booter.
