Hi, LLLActive@GMX.Net schrieb:
I've gone through all the mails about this issue. My FireFox just suddenly a week or two ago crashed when I tried anything with printing to a CUPS printer.
I had: :~> rpm -q --qf '%{name}-%{version}-%{release}-%{distribution}\n' gtk2 gtk2-2.12.0-5.8-openSUSE 10.3 (X86-64) :~> uname -a Linux 2.6.22.18-0.2-default #1 SMP 2008-06-09 13:53:20 +0200 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Then I added the community build repos and the just updated gtk2: :~> rpm -q --qf '%{name}-%{version}-%{release}-%{distribution}\n' gtk2 gtk2-2.12.9-36.2-GNOME:STABLE / openSUSE_10.3
Now I had one print preview, and then tried printing: .... Crash!
It won't start now, but exits with: :~> firefox /usr/lib64/firefox/firefox: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_dpgettext
Is it a non 64 Bit GNOME:STABLE / OpenSUSE 10.3 I have here? Where do I find the right gtk2? Which one is stable with OpenSUSE 10.3 and the latest updates?
Please note that this Gtk printing crash is not supposed to happen in 10.3. At least there were never reports about that. gtk2-2.12.0-5.8.x86_64.rpm is the latest official gtk2 package available there. The symbol lookup error somehow suggests that something doesn't fit together on your system. You should recover your system to not use GNOME:STABLE if possible and then let's start to analyze that by getting stacktraces.
