The ultimate audioplayer to communicate with linux would be an ogg player. Can anybody recommend an audioplayer that is capable of playing ogg files (besides mp3)? I'm looking for a player less than E100.
I found 3 myself: - Irever IFP-180T (128MB) - Iriver N10 (128MB) - Samsung YP U1X (512MB)
Does anyone know, whether it is possible to copy files to those players from linux? I use an iRiver ifp790. There is libifp and ifp_gui packages in my apt repository for suse 9.3 (and soon 10.1). I just compiled them on 10.1 for x86_64, and it works great. ifp_gui is a nicely done gui to interface with this line of players (don't know if you are on x86_64 or x86, you could just rebuild the src.rpm). It has some nice features, such as ogg capable, runs on a AA battery, life is supposed to be around 40 hours (I never measured) on its one battery, and radio works well.
