Same problem here, my hard drive light never turns off. Don't have I don't have this problem in Windows 95. Running a Pentium 2 233, with a 5.1g western digital UDMA hard drive and its an Acer mother board with the LX chip set. Running SuSE 5.2.. Just to let ya know that this isn't standard, I don't have this problem. I'm running a FIC 2007 MB, K6-233, and a Quantum Fireball HD.
