I'm having an issue trying to get Firefox (3.01 32-bit) to activate mailto links in KMail. I know I had this working in 10.2 but it doesn't seem to work in 10.3. (I should have dealt with this several months ago, but am just on it now, and have no plans to move to 11.0, even if it is louder.)
I'm running KDE 3.5.7 under 10.3 with kernel 2.6.22.18-0-2. ... Not needed ... What am I missing? Searching seems to turn this up as what I need.
http://lifehacker.com/392287/set-firefox-3-to-launch-gmail-for-mailto-links gave directions, The rest is: Preferences > Applications see 'mailto' (OK now you can proceed) In drop down list click on 'Use other ...' browse to /opt/kde3/bin/kmail , The rest is couple of Yes, OK, Thanks, Done, Close (whatever comes first). How to assign default status? Hmm ... Actually for more fun with GTk interface it is enough to browse to /opt/kde3/bin/ and then start typing kmail. If you are typing slow enough and don't have installed kma<whatever>, after second letter it will find Kmail. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
