[opensuse] Problem with acroread

I have been using 11.0 with no problems for ~2 months. Yesterday, I suddenly could not start acroread. It returns this error message from the command line: :acroread /usr/bin/acroread: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: \ undefined symbol: g_signal_new_class_handler This is on a 64 bit system with 64 bit Suse. I tried reinstalling acroread and gtk with no effect. I don't think I had changed anything on the system which would have caused this. Acroread had worked fine until the last day or so.
