[S.u.S.E. Linux] what configuration for HP CopyJet?

Hello, I have an HP CopyJet and have been trying to get it working with my new-ly installed SuSE 5.2 system. I'm trying to configure apsfilter and gs, but I'm not clear as to which driver to use. I've variously tried hpdj and pjxl300 without complete success. I can print plain ASCII, but getting gs to print is more problematic - I get garbage. What printer should I send gs output to (and what gs driver should I use), and how should I configure that printer in apsfilterrc?
