Lpr is /usr/bin/lpr and is contained in lprold package (series n1).
That was it ! I had forgotten it after uninstallation, believing that it was useful only for remote printers through a network... It looked so evident to me that a package related to printing should have been in the "a" series :) Thanks a lot ! But now I have another problem : I made some tests and get only the left half of the pages printed, the right half stays white. I mean, each time, the picture or the text is complete but as if squeezed... never saw that before. My /etc/printcap looks ok (a4 is specified as the default size, as I want to). My printer is a Canon bjc 2000 (ahem...) and I use the bjc 800 driver. Any hints ? Sarah
