As far as I know, it is not possible to install a 3Dfx Voodoo Banshee video card on SuSE 6.0. Correct ?
No, you _can_ install a Banshee card into SuSE 6.0, if you couldn't I wouldn't be able to see this mail right now ;-)
However, is it possible to install this video card with *reduced* features, like a standard SVGA or something, and be able to use KDE anyway ? If yes, what should I do, knowing that my card (Dragon 4000, from Gainward) is not listed in SaX.
There is a SuSE RPM that can be downloaded from SuSE's web site, also you can visit <A HREF="http://glide.xxedgexx.com</A">http://glide.xxedgexx.com</A> from where you can get more information and the latest )non-SuSE) copy of the server. to set up the SuSE RPM just follow the instructions at <A HREF="http://www.suse.de/sdb/en/html/mkraft_banshee.html</A">http://www.suse.de/sdb/en/html/mkraft_banshee.html</A> Hope thie helps. -- Have Fun, G'leth Jim McBoyle Gleth@white-star.com -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A>
