Hi: I'm running SUSE 9.3 (boxed version) on a desktop machine. While trying to solve one mouse problem, I've created another one, worse than the first. The original problem is the old "mouse pointer jumping to the corner of the screen at random intervals." While trying to solve that, I tried (a) manually setting the mouse to another model (Yast -> Hardware -> Mouse Model) and (b) unplugging and re-inserting the mouse (to force it to be re-detected). (I tried several different mouse models in Yast and unplugged/replugged a number of times over multiple boots.) Now every time I boot the machine, the mouse does not work at all until I go to (Yast -> Hardware -> Mouse Model). I don't have to change the mouse model or click "Accept": the mouse begins working immediately after the "Mouse Configuration" dialog comes up. But it doesn't work until then. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this? Thanks, Robert
