Hi ! Sometimes ago, I did a clean install using the ftp DVD iso. The system is a x86_64 (AMD Athlon 64). Everything went smoothly. Recently, I updated KDE to the last version (KDE 3.4.2 i think) with YOU. In the same time I have downloaded the DVD iso of SuSE 9.3 on a SuSE mirror. I burned the DVD, and I changed the install source in YaST. When I wanted to upgrade, several packages gave dependencies problems. Some was minor (I can delete Mplayer, and install it again later...) but some are more important : GCC, hwinfo 10.16-3.1a nd a lot of packages related to Yast2.... I had also other packages causing troubles, but once I deleted GCC-locale (I can live without it), ncurses-devel (I can probably install it later), torcs (a game...) the only problematic packages were the Yast2 related ones. I didn't dare to upgrade. BTW, I know that a clean install is preferable, but (and maybe here is the culprit), whenever I boot the computer with the 9.3 DVD (burned with K3b out from the downloaded ISO), the computer don't boot on the DVD. So i am unable to do a clean install over the 9.2 system. Is anyone have any idea ?
