Thanks in advance for osuch speed replies Just a thought, but if I recall correctly, this means that if you boot from the rescue system, it mounts it on /mnt and has a bit of a fit.
In YaST select "Boot Installed System" instead of "Rescue System". That should [hopefully!] sort your problem out.
I may have missed this but was there some special reason you did not set this drive up as primary master on your new system? Charles (-: Forever never goes beyond tomorrow.
