Hello I have tried to install Suse 8.1 and after a successful install (at least no error msg) the system fails to boot. It says initrd(hd0,0)/initrd Error 15: File not found
is /boot a separate file system? Check by running mount and see if there's a line that mentions /boot. If it isn't, edit /boot/grub/menu.lst and change (hd0,0)/initrd to (hd0,0)/boot/initrd If it is on a separate file system, which is it? Change hd0,0 to the actual partition used by /boot. hd0,0 = hda1, hd0,1 = hda2, hd1,3 = hdb4 and so on
