Suggestion for OpenOffice

I've noticed that the Windows version of the Quick Starter includes a "From Template" option, but the Linux version doesn't. Instead the Linux Quick Starter has a "Global" option, which, as far as I can tell, simply opens up Writer. Perhaps the Linux Quick Starter can be changed to open templates. That global option is a waste of space. tnx jk
