I got the BellSouth DSL service I mentioned previously. I'm running SUSE 8.0 Pro. The DSL modem (router) is a Westell modell and I'm using the ethernet connector. SUSE apparently sees it and sets it up as dsl0 at boot time.

Hi, I have SBC DSL and they expect the full logon id thus: "<yourlogonid>@sbcglobal.net" Otherwise I have no experiance w SUSE & DSL as I use a SMC Barracade broadband router/firewall. I recommend it or devices of similar nature.
