Anyone on this list have any ideas as to how to get a Nikon CoolScan II slide scanner (SCSI Based) to work under Linux. I know that Nikon currently only writes drivers for windoze, but I'm hoping that someone may have played with this device and gotten it to function under one of the latest releases of Linux. I'm currently running SuSe 7.1 but planning an "upgrade" to 7.3 soon.
Please don't consider this as an advertising. I once thought of buying an Acer film scanner and found then a product called VueScan at http://www.hamrick.com. I just checked again, Nikon LS20 is supported. Maybe VueScan fits your needs.

Kastus - Thanks for the lead; I downloaded the software this morning and just finished installing it and giving it a try with my Coolscan II. About all I have to say right now is WOW!!!! Without even reading the manual I can tell you that this program totally outperforms the software that shipped with the unit. Now all I have to do is pay for it and I'm TOTALLY M$ free. Thanks so much!! dave
