So far so good. I loaded SuSE 5.2. and have X and KDE running. However, I have some problems getting to second base. I manage to get the modules loaded for PCMCIA support and Modem Support. Basically the system loads the following modules: pcmcia_core.o ds.0 serial.o i82365.o Is this correct? I also configured my PPP files using the instructions provided by Mindspring, my ISP. However, when I run pppd, nothing happens. I look in TTY7 and there is a message there saying I/O busy. What does this means? Did I not load the right pcmcia or modem modules? Did I not configure the PPP files correctly? Is there a way to test whether my modem is even active? (A la terminal " AT")? Any help on this questions will be greatly appreciated. - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
