10.0 and Clamav preinstall question

I am finally getting where I want my SUSE system, and I am finally going to set up a small game (98 or XP) machine on another pc. I installed but haven't set up Clamav yet (no time till next week) but was wondering whether this just scans the Linux system (making the need for a Samba Server) or wether I can use it to scan a Windows box, over the lan?
