How can I log less on /var/log/messages ?

I looked at my firewall's /var/log/messages log and it's about 8mb and climbing 10K about every 1 minute. I looked at it and noticed almost all lines relate to SuSE-FW-DROP-DEFAULT which are caused by other computers sniffing around. How can I reduce these so that those lines are not included?
