As much frustration as I've had w/ suse7.2 in the last 4 months I've still decided to give 8.1 a try instead of switching back to Mandrake (7.1 was my first Installed linux). I've been using the simple to use SuSEFirewall (no setup work) w/ my cable connection and it seems to do a reasonable job.
My question, since I will be doing a fresh install, is what do I need to do to secure my install from outside attack (sounds so violent) at install time, since my connection is always on. Is SuSEfirewall still included or do I need to learn how to setup SuSEFirewall2 before I do my install?
TIA
