[SLE] Gnome pager

Hi all, Could someone shed some light on this one? When I start x (enlightenment/gnome) Sometimes the gnome pager shows all the desktop icons as well. Why does this sometimes happen and sometimes not? How can I prevent this? thanx for any help!
